Do you have an idea you would love brought to life? Did you miss out on a painting that has sold? Or did you just not find what you were looking for? Then a custom painting is the right option for you! Your custom painting is for only you and will not be reproduced as a print without your permission. To make sure your vision truly comes to life, please read through the prompts and questions below to give me as much information as possible as to your vision.
Inspiration
What is inspiring this painting? What draws you to my artistic style? Is there another painting of mine that you are inspired by?
Color Palette
Selecting the color palette of your painting is one of the most important and exciting steps to creating your custom painting! Do you want the painting to match a certain item or room? What mood, energy or feeling do you want to convey? Do you want the added shine of metallic leafing (gold, silver or rose gold)? Providing me with such details, descriptions, color swatches or pictures will greatly help me achieve the look you are searching for! Once we have discussed this, I can provide you a sample image of the paints I intend to use to confirm your color palette. Please note that colors vary between screens so some variation is possible.
Size
Commissioned paintings start at 11 x 14” and can be made to almost any size you choose.
Finishing
Watercolor paintings can be finished in various ways. You can choose between a few different options:
Matting only; you can frame it as you please.
Matted and framed
Glued and pressed onto a wooden panel board, no frame is needed.
Pricing
Once we have discussed and agreed on the details and size of the painting, I can provide you with a more accurate quote. Custom paintings tend to run approximately 15% more than my ready-to-purchase paintings to account for the extra time required for discussions, palette confirmation and sketches. I require a 50% deposit before painting commences and the rest plus shipping is required upon completion. Some countries charge additional customs fees or dues, these are the sole responsibility of the customer.
Completion Time
Custom paintings take between 4 and 10 weeks to complete. I take great pride and care in creating custom paintings and this takes time, as does shipping and handling. I will be in contact with you regularly during the process to let you know what stage I’m at and provide you with pictures if you wish.
